The American Revolution Experience Traveling Exhibition on Tour
The William Bethell Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Battlefield Trust are excited to feature the American Revolution Experience at the Museum and Archives of Rockingham County from April 15 - April 23, 2025.
The innovative pop-up exhibition includes display panels and interactive digital kiosks that use storytelling, illustration, technology and unique artifacts and primary accounts to connect modern audiences with the people and places that shaped the birth of our nation.

HEARTS Happening Junion '25: Revolutionary Descent
Our fourth annual HEARTS Happening: Junion event will feature a presentation by Co-Chair of HEARTS Reunion Project and SAR (Son of the American Revolution) member Andre’ Kearns, a descendant of Charlotte Kerns whom was enslaved at Cedar Grove. This year, Kearns will share his journey of discovering his Revolutionary War roots through Henry Johnston of Long Creek.

Commemoration of the 244th Anniversary of the Battle of Cowans Ford
The annual Commemoration of the Battle of Cowans Ford, that took place on February 1st, 1781 on the banks of the Catawba River between Lincoln and Mecklenburg Counties features in indoor program followed by an outdoor Laying of Wreaths and Rendering of Honors at the graveside of General William Lee Davidson, who was killed during the battle.
