HEARTS Happening Junion '25: Revolutionary Descent
Our fourth annual HEARTS Happening: Junion event will feature a presentation by Co-Chair of HEARTS Reunion Project and SAR (Son of the American Revolution) member Andre’ Kearns, a descendant of Charlotte Kerns whom was enslaved at Cedar Grove. This year, Kearns will share his journey of discovering his Revolutionary War roots through Henry Johnston of Long Creek.

Paul Oakley Stovall, the creator of last year’s hit cabaret LOVE RULES, returns to the intimate Stage Door Theater in Charlotte, his second artistic home, with his new follow up, LIFE RULES.
Prepare to be swept up in the nostalgia and craft of incredible songwriters, from The Eagles to Tracy Chapman, from Joni Mitchell to Earth Wind and Fire. This year Paul will be joined by Broadway star Yassmin Alers (RENT, THE NOTEBOOK) and Irish pop/rock star Andy Dempsey, as he continues to comment on the state of the world through deconstructing the lyrics and melodies and presenting anew some of our most indelible classics.
